A letter from the Headteacher
Dear Parents,
Wiggonby C of E Primary School is a GOOD school.
The Ofsted inspector was impressed by the good teaching in all classes, which benefits the pupils of our school. The children are challenged and this is important for their continued development.
The school and its governors have the needs of the children at the heart of what we do. Staff are working hard to ensure good progress is being made across the curriculum.
The school curriculum is broad and promotes children's understanding of British values very effectively. The children of Wiggonby C of E Primary School enjoy a breadth of experiences, including a wide range of visits. Children appreciate the support they get from our staff.
We are a caring school where the children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding is developed well through the school's faith characteristics. Our older children look after, encourage and support the younger children, which enables them to settle happily at school.
Our children are very well behaved and are polite and well-mannered at all times. The children are very aspirational and recognise the importance of hard work in order to achieve their goals.
The school has a strong safeguarding culture. Our parents say that their children are happy, safe and cared for.
Key Findings:
I am sure you will agree that this latest report reflects what a good school we have. I would like to thank the children for all the fantastic things they do everyday; the staff for their hard work and dedication to our school; the governors for their unwavering support and desire to make Wiggonby C of E Primary School a thriving environment where children grow spiritually and morally, encapsulating our ethos of 'With Grace and Love, we Dream and Achieve'.
And finally, I would like to thank you, the parents, for the support and trust you place in our school. It is very much appreciated.
