Classes 2 and 3 had an fun filled, activity packed trip to Watchtree.
While Class 2 were being scientists, Class 3 were architects and builders.
We (Class 3) have been learning about bridges and structures in DT, so whilst at Watchtree, we took part in a bridge building competition. Using the natural resources around us, we worked to a deadline to create strong structures which would hold the weight of a large, full water bottle.
We worked in teams to create 3 bridges. Each bridge looked completely different as each team had designed different structures, however, each bridge met the success criteria and passed the water bottle test!
Take a look at the photos which show the various stages of the competition (by the way, we were in super hero fancy dress costumes to support CFM's Cash for Kids charity).
