On Monday we found a mysterious package in the playground. We think it had fallen from a plane flying over school. The police came and checked it was safe and said we could open it. It had strange looking egg inside. There was a piece of paper with some Chinese writing on. Class three used google translate and discovered it said "Top Secret" "Dragon Egg".
We wrote descriptions, news reports, questions, recounts and letters. We contacted a reptile expert who answered our questions in a you tube video.
On Tuesday Mrs Walsh went outside because she heard a noise. It was an adult dragon! She was so scared she ran away but luckily the whole thing was captured on CCTV.
We decided to keep the egg safely in the school office but on Wednesday the school fire alarm went off and it was smoking! When we came back into school the hall was smokey. Mrs Walsh decided the egg needed to go and took it to a secure location.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
