Fellside Residential Visit
KS2 children spent three days and two nights at Fellside Outdoor Centre. The weather was fine and the children and staff had a wonderful time testing themselves with a range of activities, trying and discovering new skills, developing their teamwork, and having a lot of fun.
While there, we visited the Howk Bobbin Mill in Calbeck and went on a fell walk. The learnt about the history of mining and explored the local natural history and geography.
Ghyll scrambling, canoeing, orienteering and archery were also enjoyed at beautiful settings like Bassenthwaite Lake and Hay Ghyll. The children behaved brilliantly and got on really well together. Many children showed real leadership skills, and great support for one another, making it a memorable and hugely worthwhile visit.
