PE and games are high on the agenda at Wiggonby CE Primary School. We believe that taking part in sport regularly is key in helping children maintain good health; physically, socially and emotionally.
Our children have the opportunity to be involved in inter-school matches playing
netball, Kwick cricket, tag rugby and tennis.
We follow the Suffolk P.E. Scheme teaching Athletics Activities, Dance,
Games skills, Gymnastics, Outdoor & Adventurous Activities and Swimming.
This year we are working with our local secondary school, Nelson Thomlinson, to help plan and support or PE curriculum, to help us with our continuous professional development, and in coaching and inclusion in competitions.
We also have professional coaches coming into school to work with all the children.
Sainsbury's School Games Kitemark
The Sainsbury's School Games Kitemark is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competitions across their school and their community.
We gained the Silver award this year.
